I went in to take a second look at a table with my husband, I had seen the table a few days earlier, and had the unpleasant surprise of discovering the price had all of a sudden jumped by $200. When I asked the gentleman working he got super rude and told me that I need to talk to the owner about it and come back on Monday. I was floored, I had never had customer service turn so quickly and just by asking a simple question!

Keith, The statue arrived today and it is a magnificent piece. Photos did not do it justice. Thanks so much for the piece and the expert packing and shipment to Australia. Absolute pleasure dealing with you from afar. Cheers Stewart

It is my great pleasure to rave about Keith and Antique and Art Exchange. Keith went out of his way to assist me every step of the way. He made me happy on each phone call( despite delays on my part) and ultimately on the day of my purchase(late). Keith was patient, always positive with a CAN DO process, calm beyond the pale when I got lost and barraged him with phone calls for more directions. I would not have been that patient with me! Through all of this there was a lot of laughter...thanks to him. Bottom line: Keith is a master of people and art and builds trust immediately. He is the reason I drove home with the chairs I hoped to find over many years. I am thrilled to have a dream come true and it just would not have happened without him. Already I have volunteered referrals to all within earshot and will continue always. THANK YOU KEITH!

This is my Go To place for art and antiques. It is my favorite source to spice up my table settings and my clients. I often buy different salad plates to create different looks while using the same dinner plates. It is like being in a magical room full of treasure. I find very unique and interesting pieces of art and antiques to bring life into a room. even if you think you do not like antiques, they are a source for finding beautifully made pieces and at prices cheaper than mass produced furniture. If you care about the planet, buy furniture already made. You will find woods that are not available anymore and with the patina in,y age can bring. If they do not have a piece if furniture you are looking for in the store, they have great sources. I made a mistake buying an antique linen press from E bay, linen presses are great for storage of shoes, sweaters, handbags and hats. The big shelves pull out so your items can lie flat and are easily seen. The piece arrived with shelves and drawers that did not work, and it ended up costing much more than I paid. Antique & Art Exchange is a wonderful source and you be able to see the desired pieces plus the owners are a great source of knowledge and great fun.

This is absolutely the best antique store in SF. The owners Keith and Howard are extremely knowledgeable about all types and periods of antiques from furniture to silver. They are very friendly and eager to share information with you. Not only are you surrounded by beautiful things but you get the history and background of each piece. Instead of going to a chain store for furnishings visit Antique and Art Exchange. You will find a treasure with a history rather than a mass produced item. Their collection is very diverse and has something for every room in your home. We purchased an absolutely beautiful early 19th century French farm table for our wine country home. It has a gorgeous patina and two draw leaves which extend to seat 14. And just recently Keith found us a Charles Hollis Jones lucite dining table from the '60's that seats 4 comfortably for our SF pied a terre. These are great examples of the breadth of their collection. And if they don’t have what you want (unlikely) they will research and find it for you. Highly recommend you visit them.

This is the most amazing antique shop in SF. You can find anything from 17th Century mirrors to silver to rare books. I recently went in to browse, one of my favorite past times here, and found an 18th century Thai wooden carving. Not only was it an unusual piece but the owners, Keith and Howard, were able to find me the correct stand for it. It looks beautiful in my home next to many other pieces I have purchased from them. They love what they sell and are always willing to spend time with you and give you an “education” about what you are looking at or buying. Recommend you stop in to see them, whether it is your first time there or whether you have been before, their inventory is constantly changing.

I met with Howard. He’s very knowledgeable and was generous with his time in assisting me. Their selection of antiques and art is amazing! I recommend adding their gallery to your must-see list!
