Chelsea Flea Market NYC

Located at 29 W 25th St between Sixth Avenue and Broadway of New York City  Chelsea Flea Market was originally established in 1979, and since then it has thrived as one of most famous flea markets in the United States.  it has profound roots in the field of flea markets, especially in New York . 

Michael Rips - who authored the book  The Golden Flea  - A Story of Obsession and Collecting after visiting many flea markets in the United States - mentions “For decades, no such market was more renowned than the legendary Chelsea flea market, which sprawled over several blocks and within an old garage on the west side of Manhattan.” 

Chelsea Flea has dedicated 60+ vendors who primarily sell the best antiques, vintage collectibles, and architectural salvage. 

This outdoor flea market is open every Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, rain or shine,  year-round, including holidays, unless stated otherwise.

Admission

There is no admission fee to enter the Chelsea flea market. You can visit the market and explore anything you may want to buy. We further allow pets, especially dogs & other service animals. However, we encourage you to be more aware of the pavement during the hot summer as the floor could get extremely hot for your pets. 

Access

You can access this flea market using public transportation as well. We are situated nearby of the 1 train at 28th St, and the R, and W trains at 28th.  If you like to walk then we are within walking distance of Herald Square (0.6 miles or 14 min ), Madison Square Park (0.1 miles or 3 min), and Union Square (0.6 miles or 14 min). 

Payment Options

While some vendors accept credit cards, debit cards and NFCs many prefer to accept cash. So bringing the cash would be safe. There are also ATMs available with $2.50 transaction fees.

One sad part of this flea market is we don't have any food vendors or courts. So bringing water bottles and foods by yourself would be preferable for you.

Become a Vendor

We welcome you to become a vendor at this amazingly popular flea market in New York City.  If you want to apply for vendor space fill out this form with the details of the products you want to sell and at least 3 photos. We encourage the former vendor at 25th St. flea market, so bring references if you have one. 

1. Overnight Security on Saturday night of the booth and product. 
2. Table and tents are available for rent.
3.  Vendors can also choose to bring their own equipment including a tent & table.
