Um, no. I went here looking for a Caboodle which they miraculously had. 8 bucks. Cool. Then I grabbed a couple unopened puzzles and headed to check out. My total came to $19.95. I didn't realize the puzzles would be that much. Usually puzzles are 50 cents or so. I only had a 20 and didn't feel like spending all of it, so I said nevermind on the puzzles. The lady was SO MAD AT ME. She THREW a plastic bag at me and then told the person behind me "I can help you now sir" as if I was no longer there. The man behind me said, "No, she was before me. " The lady was so mad. I said, "Thanks, sorry about that" and she ignored me. I left. No plans to return.

Some may think her prices are steep and for some things maybe so but you don't have to buy them. She has a large variety of items that are priced less than retail, not as cheap as a thrift store but has better selection and not dirty. Very clean, not a big dusty mess like some second hand stores. She is very sensitive to perfume so please consider this....for the person who was shocked she made them leave. She could sell more if she priced a little lower, I agree there, but she does have a lot of overhead in electricity and upkeep of the building. We don't have enough second hand and thrift stores so I am glad Sylviua's attic is there. I have gone there specifically to look for an item I don't want to buy new, and she often has something to fit the bill.

I stopped by here in October when driving through town and I was so happy I did. There are so many treasures and things to see. My husband found a few books to add to his collection and I got a few puzzles for mine. Extremely well kept store and the owner is an absolute sweetheart! I have a reminder set for my next road trip to stop by!

So much to see! Happy to hear Sylvia's is open again. Give yourself a little time to see everything.

This is an Antique store, not a Thrift store— Can’t stress this enough. There is already a big difference between the two. If you see this, then you may already know that antique stores are often a little more pricey than thrift stores. Regardless of this, Sylvia’s attic, being an antique store and all, is not as pricey as MOST antique stores I’ve ever been to. That in itself makes me enjoy going there the most out of any nearby antique store, and there’s quite a bit of space and things that is presented there so you can probably get lost looking at everything. I don’t go as often as I wish I could, but each time I do I always purchase something nice for far less than what it could have been priced for. Anyways, me and my grandma both enjoy going there and the lady has always been nice to us.

While the prices are a little higher than other similar stores, Sylvia's is an amazing little place. I could go on forever about all the intriguing stock I've seen going there. It's always fun looking at all the 100+ year old furniture, and looking through the tapes and vinyl. There's also a great selection of 8tracks, magazines, you name it. Also a great place for VHS, Sylvia's always has rarer, and harder to find tapes, some even local. Overall, definitely worth checking out. If your local, or out of town, Sylvia's never disappoints.

Visited 3/24/23. We found two framed florals, clearly marked $25 each. When the owner looked at them, she said they “weren’t marked yet” and went on to say that our price would be $50 each. What?! Who puts items on the sales floor and refuses to sell them for the price CLEARLY marked on them? Is dishonest. Besides, It’s not like these were Rembrandts for heavens sake. We left empty handed and annoyed.
